Prerequisites
In order receive calls, you need the following:
- A 46elks account.
- A virtual phone number with voice enabled.
- A server connected to the internet.
For development purposes you can use NGROK.
Setting up a listening server on your account
Receiving a phone call is done with a simple POST request to the voice_start attached to your virtual phone number. When you have configured your voice_start you are ready to initiate the listening script.
You voice_start configuration might look something like this in the dashboard:
Run your receive phone calls code
You can now run the code below by calling your virtual phone number. If all goes well a sample mp3 will start playing.
There's not a lot more you need to know. Now it's up to you to decide want you want to do with the incoming phone call. For full details, see the API reference.
Pricing
We bill you per minute once a call is started. You will not pay for calls
that are not connected.
